Goshen Rec Department Information

This department strives to provide a variety of activities for residents of all ages for all seasons. Residents may choose from programs such as soccer, archery, T-ball, basketball, skiing for children, yoga, exercise classes, volleyball for adults, senior social, and bus trips.  The Recreation Department puts on annual programs like out Senior Picnic, Easter Egg Hunt, Winter Fun Day, Halloween Party and summer concerts at no charge.
We are always looking for volunteers to help in these great, affordable activities.  If you are interested in giving back, contact Erin at 860-491-2249 or email at: parkandrec@goshenct.gov.
Our active department also runs an affordable six-week summer day camp for children ages 3-12 at the town-owned facility called Camp Cochipianee on Beach Street.
When camp is not in session, Camp Cochipianee's 57-acre facility is open to the public. The grounds hold a running/walking track, swimming area, soccer field, baseball diamond, picnic areas, trails, horseshoe pit, and bocce court. Kobylenski Lodge is available for rent for parties or organizations to meet. Check out the Camp Cochipianee page for more information.
